FAQ

My firm belief is that family photos are the treasure trove that should hold the memories of your family’s story. How and where you belong together. So when it comes to getting pictures done I want them to hold the story of your lives…that years down the road after the sleepless nights are no more and the endless loads of laundry stop you will be able to remember the wonderful, beautiful moments of those days.

I believe there is magic in the ordinary moments of our days.

I considered myself a photographic artist. I blend a lifestyle and photojournalistic approach for my sessions.

From when you first reach out to choosing location to styling to printing pictures after the session I am here to help. My desire is to make the process as easy and stress free as possible. To make the experience enjoyable and fun for you and your family!

Where are you?

I live in Norman, OK but serve the OKC metro area.

What does lifestyle mean? I don’t know how to pose myself?

Lifestyle doesn’t mean I just let you run free. I give guidance and direction so you aren’t left wondering what to do during the session. I’ll give suggestions on where to stand, what to do and how to interaction, and how to place your body and hands in a manner that is flattering. My goal is to make your sessions as relaxed, authentic and enjoyable as possible. While I don’t do lots of posing (aside from a few photos for Grandma), I do LOTS of direction. Guiding you, cheering you and giving you the knowledge to relax!

How much does a session cost and what do I get?

Go to my pricing page to look at the prices and packages. I provide edited high resolution pictures in an online password protected gallery with a print release. You can choose between different packages with options to order more. I also provide prints and albums if you are interested.

Can you change how I look?

I edited in a natural style to capture the beauty and realness of who you are. I want you to look at your pictures and be in love with the life you have with those you love. If you are looking for a makeover or to lose 10lbs in your pictures, I will not be the photographer for you. If you need some more extensive editing done that will be at an additional price.

Where should my session be?

We can do it outside or in your home. This is something I am happy to discuss with you to be able to give you the best fit. A few favorites – your home, your favorite park, your favorite area of the city, your favorite outing together. Several of the major city parks are great locations too.

I don’t want my photos online.

No problem. Some of my clients do not want me to use their photos online and I am very happy to serve you in that way.

What time should I schedule my session?

For outdoor sessions golden hour is my favorite. The first 2 hours after sunrise and the 2 hours before sunset. The dreamy light you get is what makes most sessions pop.

Other times of day are certainly workable just will bring a bit different style.

For in home sessions I ask for you to watch for what time your home is filled with the most light and then we discuss form there as to what works best for your family!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Your payment can be split into a few different segments if needed. All payments must be made before the session date.

For NEWBORN session

These are in your home. I come to you so you don’t have to worry about leaving, exposing your newborn to a unfamiliar environment and allow you to relax. One window will allow us the light we need to do a lot!

When should I schedule?

With newborn sessions, contact me as soon as you know you want a session. We put a “guess date” in the calendar and then after your newborn is born we’ll discuss from there. Newborn sessions are best within the first 6 weeks.

All other sessions I prefer to schedule 4 weeks in advance but I am flexible so contact me and see if the date you want is open!
