As the winter months started to fade this past spring, the continued damp and chilly weather left me and my little girl feeling very stir-crazy at times. For this Midwestern-raised girl, spring seemed like it was never coming! After a week with no signs of the spring that was supposed to be here, I went online to see where I could take my little girl for some warmth and green without spending too much money.

Enter the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens across from Prospect Park. On Friday mornings it is free to the public until noon. It was a refreshing morning and helped feel our tanks that needed some space, warmth, color and greenery. I love giving my little girl opportunities to wonder and be amazed at the beauty God has created in nature. I can’t wait to go back again this summer once more things are in bloom!
(Also it made me wish for a family to photograph there as it’s beautiful! Anyone interested in a green house session?? Let me know!)
